Hello! I’m Donald (but you can call me Waldo too—I'm a dog of many names!) and I’m a 7-year-old, 50 lb spunky gentleman with a big heart and an even bigger love for life! I may have a few years under my belt, but I’m still full of charm, energy, and affection. I absolutely LOVE walks and I’m a pro on the leash, so if you're looking for a walking buddy, I’m your guy! But let's not forget my other favorite thing: couch time! There's nothing better than curling up with my favorite humans for a good snuggle. I’m the perfect lap dog and love to show you just how much I adore being close to you. I’m also quite the playmate and have a blast playing with my puppy roommate. I’m also great with other dogs and kids, and I just want to be part of the action.

I’ve been through some tough times, but my spirit has always remained strong. When I first came to the shelter, I was a little worse for wear—thin, heartworm-positive (but I’ve been fully treated and I’m as healthy as can be now), and I had some scars from my past, including a collar that had been embedded too tightly. But none of that dampened my love for people or my joy for life. My tail wags all the time because I’m just so grateful for every good thing that comes my way. I’m thriving in my foster home now surrounded by love.

I’m house-trained, and totally car-friendly, so wherever we go, I’ll be right by your side! I have a special place in my heart for chew toys, and I’m a toy surgeon when it comes to stuffies (those poor toys don’t stand a chance!). I’m generous, too, and share my toys without a problem!
